Valerie Campbell

Teacher to P5C at Sion Mills Primary School, Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

"Everyone in P5C enjoyed our Thursday afternoon sessions with Aoibheann, participating in the ReNew You programme. She showed us many well-being techniques that we can all use to help us in our daily routines, both in and out of school for the rest of our lives. Her kindness and compassion meant that the children felt at ease and engaged enthusiastically in her weekly sessions. Thank you Aoibheann."

Margaret O’ Connor

Principal of Loreto Community School, Milford, Co. Donegal, Ireland.

“Bringing the ReNew You programmes to our staff and students has been a most positive experience- Aoibheann created a very safe and nurturing space, her calmness and her kind, compassionate manner combined with thoughtful guidance allowed participants to feel at ease. Her highly skilled training programme enriched the lives of all participants who spoke of their newfound ability to look at every situation with new eyes and to be able to live in the moment. Students have spoken of increased self-awareness and an ability to deal with exam stress and to skillfully choose from a wide selection of practices to enhance daily living . Aoibheann has opened up a whole new world to our staff and students.”

Shelly O'Kane

Teacher to P6 at St. Catherine’s Primary School, Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

"My name is Shelly O'Kane and I am a Year 6 teacher at St. Catherines Primary School. Our class have loved spending time with Aoibheann as part of the ReNewYou Programme. We all participated fully each week-myself and our two classroom assistants included! Each Tuesday, we all looked forward to taking time to ourselves and making time for us. Aoibheann introduced us all to her well-being techniques. The class gained so many lifelong skills that they can apply to everyday situations. The children engaged in all activities. They even brought in a cushion each week, to feel relaxed during mediation. As a new term begins, sadly our time with ReNew You has come to an end, but thankfully we can use our techniques that Aoibheann kindly shared with us to help us in our class and our daily routines. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, kindness, and understanding with us all, we feel so much more at ease knowing we have these new skills to help us on our way."

Shauna Forbes

Teacher to P3 at St. Mary’s Primary School, Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

“Aoibheann delivered the ‘Renew You’ programme to a mixed ability, mixed sex P3 class in  2020.  The class needed support owing to a variety of emotional and behavioural issues.  Owing to the format of the classes and the professional delivery of the content much was achieved. Aoibheann maintained contact with myself from week to week to ensure the smooth delivery of each lesson prior to her visit. A calming and relaxed atmosphere always ensured full class participation. The children  felt relaxed and free to share their ideas in a non- judgemental  and confidential  atmosphere. A variety of strategies were implemented by Aoibheann and the children always returned to class having learnt a new strategy to help regulate feelings and emotions in a positive way. These strategies were visited in class throughout the week before Aoibheann’s return the following week.  I would highly recommend this programme and it’s professional and caring delivery by Aoibheann.”

Terence Gallagher

Teacher to 5th class pupils at St.Cróna's N.S. Dungloe, Co.Donegal, Ireland.

"We really looked forward to our sessions with Aoibheann every Thursday. The ReNewYou programme that Aoibheann delivered brought a calm and positive atmosphere to our group. Aoibheann connected with the children and won their trust and confidence very quickly. The children fully engaged with Aoibheann throughout and were relaxed thanks to her calm approach. I witnessed usually reserved, nervous children become relaxed and comfortable in her presence. The children felt safe to express themselves freely. Aoibheann furnished the children with practical strategies to help them to better understand and deal with their feelings. Both the class Sna and I took part and I have personally, added some of the strategies to my own daily routines. Aoibheann has taught us all to take time for ourselves, to focus on our own well-being. I would highly recommend the programme to all schools and I am sorry that our time with Aoibheann has ended. She brought such positivity and confidence to our group of children. Thank you Aoibheann."

The skills and strategies taught will be of great benefit to the 5th and 6th class pupils especially as they begin the transition to secondary school. Aoibheann was kind and warm and created a welcoming and safe space for the pupils to share their thoughts and feelings. Thank you Aoibheann."
